New Bing toolbar 7.0: lets you keep track of e-mail, updates and Facebook
Microsoft has updated its famous toolbar “Bing” to 7.0 (aka Bing Bar 7.0)! Now search for new updates, view e-mail, or even visit friends on Facebook via Bing Bar. Dynamic updates can be searched and seen directly in the toolbar Bing 7.0, so user does not need to frequently switch between the several web pages. However, this update only supports Microsoft’s current operating system (XP SP3 or higher) and latest version of Internet Explorer (7.0 or later) browser, if other users are interested-in for this update, then they may have to first use Internet Explorer to try Bing bar.
The latest version of the Bing toolbar is available at: http://toolbar.discoverbing.com/toolbar/
Bing Toolbar 7.0 also supports the integration of Hotmail (live), new Yahoo Mail and Gmail services, so you can also switch between various views on the toolbar depending upon the choice of your e-mail service providers. Bing toolbar also integrates with Facebook’s several major functions, so you can visit a friend’s profile through the toolbar, see recent updates, share photo and “like” according to the contents!
The latest update of the Bing toolbar also provides a reminder function, which reminds upon receiving new e-mails, Facebook updates, or the news release. Bing Toolbar will automatically appear to remind the message. After installation, it appears at the top of the browser with Bing tools column. The user can configure when to get update/notifications and when to appear – This is what going to be really very convenient, or another example that you can also configure whether to receive a pop-up Web ads instead of disturbing again and again; it may be a matter of opinion from person to person.
Other common features available on Bing Bar are Weather Updates, Financial quotes, Bing maps, Tiny Games, Latest news and buzz and lots more. The cons are that users can’t add personalized links to bar, rest it’s a very powerful Bar.
Microsoft is very innovative and passionate with its Bing Search engine and its web browser integration products, but the long growth story of Google is still very worrying for the success of Bing.
