One of the most popular cross-platform Instant Messaging iOS Application, WhatsApp Messenger is available for Free Download on iTunes App Store for a limited period. This strategy, as followed by WhatsApp Inc in the past, amass users who do not already have and do not want to pay for it. WhatsApp is free for Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone platforms, Apple users however need to pay $0.99 (not an exorbitant amount) to use this Application.

Last week, WhatsApp suffered a couple of problems when Apple users updated the App with latest updates, leaving the App completely unstable. Before solution upgrade was available, users had to reinstall the application, thus losing all saved conversations. Henceforth, with the free download, WhatsApp might want to regain the confidence of Apple users.
